Mrs. Kristin Burt
Spouse of the Premier of Bermuda
Mrs. Kristin Burt is the wife of the Premier of Bermuda, the Hon. E David G. Burt II, and mother to their two children, Nia and Edward. In addition to her roles as wife and mother, she also maintains a career in the private sector at Ernst & Young Ltd, where she advises EY teams on regulatory compliance matters.
Mrs. Burt currently serves as the Honorary Patron for Art Education at the Bermuda National Gallery, which encourages children from ages 2 to 17 to engage with the arts through the Early Years, Art + Literacy, Artist Exploration, Art + Technology and Art Council programmes. She is also the Honorary Patron for the Bermuda Cancer and Health Centre’s Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which raises funds for the Centre’s Equal Access Fund. The Equal Access Fund provides access to mammograms and radiation therapy for patients who are uninsured or underinsured.
Recently Mrs. Burt spearheaded an initiative to develop a network of Little Free Libraries in public parks. This island-wide initiative encourages literacy in spaces beyond the traditional libraries.
Mrs. Burt holds a master’s degree in Environment and Development from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She received her bachelor’s degree in International Affairs with a concentration in International Economics with a minor in Spanish from The George Washington University in Washington, D.C.
